Web/Interactive Media Specialist

Location: 3rd POB (A)(D), and 1st Special Forces Command Head Quarters Public Affairs Office at Fort Liberty, NC

**Position is Contingent Upon Contract Award**

Summary: Will provide Subject Matter Expertise in Web/Interactive Media-related tasks across all types of media platforms – Internet, TV, Radio, and Print. The objective is to mentor Soldiers on industry-specific practices and production techniques, and train Soldiers on Web/Interactive Media.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive understanding of Web/Interactive Media concepts, tools, and technologies.
  • Guide Soldiers in applying industry-specific practices and production techniques in Web/Interactive Media.
  • Develop and deliver tailored training modules covering web design, interactive media production, and multimedia integration.
  • Conduct practical sessions to familiarize Soldiers with industry-standard software and workflows.
  • Utilize relevant resources to enrich Soldiers' learning experience and keep them updated on emerging trends.
  • Assess Soldiers' progress and proficiency through practical assignments and evaluations.
  • Work with other SMEs and instructional designers to develop comprehensive training programs.
  • Stay updated on advancements in Web/Interactive Media and instructional methodologies, integrating new techniques into training programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and materials.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Top Secret Clearance/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information required at start of work.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Be U.S. citizens unless provisions of Army Regulation 25-2, Information Assurance have been fully completed and approval is granted by the Government for the non-U.S. citizen to perform the required support.
  • Possess and maintain knowledge of new and emerging technologies in the management of multimedia projects including, but not limit to; broadcast television, radio, screenplays, print media, and electronic media content production for intern and mobile applications, specifically social media.
  • Bachelor’s degree in web Programming.
  • 5 Years of experience in respective field. An advanced degree in any of the following disciplines is preferred: Computer Programming, Communications, Graphic Arts, Writing, and Digital Multimedia Communications.
  • Possess the necessary web technology familiarity and coding skills required to develop, coordinate, design, build and maintain interactive, media-rich websites and prototype multimedia products for multi-regional audiences.
  • Understand data mining and statistical modeling used to support target audience identification and segmentation and be capable of analyzing this data to develop and determine measures of performance and effectiveness for projects and programs.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and solutions for hosted web solutions (websites) as well as digital media solutions to include email, short message services (SMS) and multimedia messaging service (MMS) which include advanced segmentation techniques as well as dynamic content assembly.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Java, HTML, CSS, Python, PHP, Ruby, Swift, C++, and C.

Physical Demands:

Sitting for desk work, occasional standing, walking, and bending, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, dexterity for keyboard and mouse use, adequate vision and hearing, and general mobility as required for the role.
